Introducing the North America Chinese Youth Orchestra
North America Chinese Youth Orchestra (NACYO) provides music education for 1st to 12th grades. Our music education teaches students to play music from diverse cultures on Chinese traditional instruments, guitar & violin; cultivates students’ cross-cultural understanding; guides students to contribute to their community through their music, and nurtures in our students the values of compassion, artistic beauty appreciation, and inclusiveness.

Congratulations to ArcoStrum for winning the prestigious 2023 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition!
Awarded as the recent Winner and Audience Prize of the 2023 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition in New York, ArcoStrum consists of three-times international First Prize-winning violinist Strauss Shi, and the Grand Prize winner of Guitar Foundation of America - International Concert Artist Competition (GFA-ICAC), TY Zhang.

USC Thornton DMA candidate in Classical Guitar Tengyue (Ty) Zhang and Strings program alumnus Strauss Shi (MM ’19) were announced as winners in the 2023 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition.

Asian-American Music Artists Alliance (AMAA), established in 2023, is a non-profit organization that aspires to bring together Asian-American music artists to offer a breadth of music genres and build cross-cultural understanding through teaching music on Chinese instruments to youths from diverse backgrounds. AMAA offers music education through its North America Chinese Youth Orchestra (NACYO) serving students from 1st through 12th grades. Our music education will enable students to play music from diverse cultures on Chinese traditional music instruments and will extend their cross-cultural understanding through playing world music. By playing music and contributing to their community, NACYO will nurture in our students, the values of artistic beauty appreciation, compassion, inclusiveness.
美國亞裔音樂藝術家協會(AMAA)成立於2023年,是一個非營利組織,旨在彙集亞美裔音樂藝術家,提供豐富的音樂類型,並通過教授中國樂器的音樂來促進不同背景青年之間的跨文化理解。AMAA通過其北美青年中樂團(NACYO)為1至12年級的學生提供音樂教育。 我們的音樂教育,將使學生能夠使用中國傳統樂器演奏來自不同文化的音樂作品,並通過演奏世界音樂來拓展他們的跨文化理解力。通過演奏音樂併為社區做出貢獻,NACYO 將培養我們學生的藝術審美能力以及具有同情心和包容性的價值觀。
