Lu Xian

Lu Xian is a member of China National Wind Instruments Society. After graduating from the music department of Nanjing Normal University in 1983, he became a music teacher of Shanghai Teacher College. In 1991, he continued his study in music department of Turku University in Finland. He won First Prize in Wind Instruments at the Folk Music Instruments Competition. He has shown on the stages in Finland, Japan, Sweden and the United States. In addition to flute, he also plays many of the traditional Chinese instruments, including Xiao, Bawu, Xun. Currently, he is a member of Melody of China Ensemble and a guest music teacher in Laney College in Oakland, California.
