The Chinese Music Summer Institute 2023
Our Inaugural Summer Program!
The Chinese Music Summer Institute (CMSI) is NACYO’s inaugural summer music program that offers Western and Traditional Chinese music education open for 3rd - 12th grade students. Our world-class faculty are graduates from The Juilliard School, China’s top music conservatories, national and international award winners, worldwide performers and educators with rich teaching experience, and top soloists with orchestras including the San Francisco Symphony. Students admitted to the program will participate and study with our world-renowned faculty in Session I and/or Session II on their instrument of choice. The Summer Institute offers classes on the classical guitar, violin, and traditional Chinese instruments: Guzheng, Pipa, Erhu, Dizi, Zhongruan, Yangqin, and Percussion. Rental instruments will be available. All levels are welcomed to apply for our program.
